Cheaper US-origin booking undermines Turkish scrap hike expectations
Most Turkish mills are keeping their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged from last week, while some producers, which want to source a higher amount from the domestic market, have increased their prices, Kallanish notes.
Imported scrap prices, on the other hand, are seen fluctuating in a narrow range. Although suppliers are targeting higher prices, a US merchant has sold this week at a lower price versus the previous deal.
