India sees rise in August coking coal production
Indian coking coal production increased 14.82% on-year to 4.77 million tonnes in August, compared to 4.15mt produced a year earlier, India’s coal ministry informs. This also includes 0.5mt of captive production, up 11.36% versus 0.45mt last year.
Output, however, dropped on-month, by 4.41% versus 4.99mt produced in July, Kallanish notes.
