India’s May coking coal production surges
Indian coking coal production surged 23.55% on-year to 5.2 million tonnes in May, against 4.21mt produced a year earlier, India’s coal ministry informs.
Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) was the largest coking coal producer in May, with output of 3.18mt during the period, reporting a 27.74% on-year growth against 2.49mt produced last year. Other producers included CCL (1.45mt), SECL (0.02mt), and WCL (0.01mt), Kallanish notes.
