India’s May crude steel production grows marginally
Indian crude steel production grew 4.9% on-year to 11.25 million tonnes in May, compared with 10.72mt produced a year earlier, according to JPC preliminary data seen by Kallanish.
The output also increased marginally by 1.8% on-month versus 11.05mt produced by Indian mills in April.
The collective crude steel production of JSW Steel, Jindal Steel and Power, and AMNS India totalled 3.40mt, up by 2.1% on-year. Tata Steel’s production grew 1.9% to 1.68mt in Ma…
