Kardemir eyes increased billet sales, maintains rod prices

Kardemir plans to significantly increase its billet sales on-quarter in the first quarter of 2024, with planned wire rod tonnages remaining almost unchanged and rebar volumes declining, Kallanish notes. The Turkish steelmaker is eyeing 293,000 tonnes of billet sales in Q1 2024 versus its Q4 2023 plan of 219,000t.
