Kardemir eyes increased rebar sales in second quarter

Kardemir plans to significantly increase its rebar sales on-quarter in the second quarter of 2024, with planned wire rod tonnages remaining unchanged and billet volumes declining, Kallanish notes. The Turkish steelmaker is eyeing 160,000 tonnes of rebar sales in Q2 versus its Q1 plan of 97,000t.
