Mexico's HRC, CRC production grows in December
Mexican hot rolled and cold rolled coil production increased both month-on-month and on-year in December, Kallanish notes. Hot-dipped galvanized steel and alloy rolled flats however remained weak.
According to data from local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), Mexico produced 344,240 tonnes of HRC in December, up 27,342t from November and 18.2% higher year-on-year. Full-year production was 3.94 million tonnes,…
