Mexico’s Simec fourth-quarter shipments grow, revenue declines

Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec (GS)’s fourth-quarter sales volumes increased sequentially and were almost equal year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. GS saw its profit reduce compared with the previous quarter and same period of the prior year due to a decrease in average steel prices.
