Severstal ramps up own electricity production
Severstal’s Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) increased its own electricity production last year compared to 2022, reaching record daily output, the company tells Kallanish.
In 2023, the plant supplied 77.8% of its own electricity consumption of more than 6.1 billion kWh, up 0.4 percentage points versus 2022. The positive economic effect amounted to RUB 412.7 million ($4.5m).
