Tata’s June-quarter output grows, deliveries down amid duties
Tata Steel’s crude steel output grew marginally, by 6% on-year to 4.92 million tonnes in the fiscal quarter ended 30 June 2022. Production was flat on-quarter against 4.9mt produced in the March quarter, Kallanish notes.
Deliveries, however, dropped 2% on-year to 4.06mt due to curbed exports following the 15% export duty imposition. They also slid by 21% on-quarter against 5.12mt in the March quarter.
