Turkey's steel output rises 18% in March
In March, Turkey saw an 18% on-year and 3.81% month-on-month rise in crude steel production to 3.2 million tonnes, according to worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
This surge mirrors February's trend, attributed to a low comparison base due to devastating earthquakes on 6 February 2023. These earthquakes led producers in the affected area to temporarily halt production.
