Turkish merchant bar slides further amid withheld demand
Turkish merchant bar producers further decreased their quotes last week as buyers’ price expectations are falling each day, in line with declining scrap prices.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $630-640/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, down from $640-660/t the previous week. However, lower prices were available from more aggressive producers.
