Turkish merchant bar prices struggle amid sluggish demand
Turkish merchant bar producers struggled to hold their prices last week despite firm raw material values. This was mostly due to insufficient demand, which failed to recover even after raw material prices rose, notes Kallanish.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $630-640/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, unchanged from the previous week.
