China crash prevents Turkish merchant bar price rebound
Turkish merchant bar producers have failed to increase their quotes despite the recent upward correction seen in scrap prices.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $630-640/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, unchanged from the previous week.
However, lower offers at $620-630/t were also available from some re-rollers trying to sell more aggressively.
