MMK’s tinplate output hits capacity, upgrades equipment
Production of tinplate at MMK amounted to 167,000 tonnes in 2023, the company tells Kallanish. Shipments of commercial tinplate from the plant, produced at the electrolytic tinning unit No.2, are at maximum capacity, the enterprise claims.
MMK says it is the only manufacturer of this type of product in Russia, occupying approximately half of the Russian market for tinplate, used for the production of food containers.
